Good Night

Watched Meet the Fockers  tonight funny movie...

Barbra Streisand look quite a few LBS heavier than last time I saw her on Oprah..

Maybe it was poundage for the part..Hope she is not having health problems that would be sad...

Not really much to say so sorry...

Went to my husbands favorite restraurant called The Irish Rover.

He ordered a dish called the Kilharney Eggs

I think that was the name..

It is...

a Hard boiled Egg covered in sausage rolled in bread crumbs and deep fried...

Sounds gross but was very good..I was surprized..They cut it in half and serve it with potoatoe salad...

It tasted like a breadfast sandwich  :-)

Does anybody else get hungry at night..I always get hungry at night sometimes I will eat in my sleep...werid huh..

Greatest comedy show

ok I found this really good comedy show I laughed I cryed.....its called

Old videos from years ago...

Oh my GOSH!!!! heres a few excerpts

ME:  oh looked at my hair what was I thinking

ME: Honey look how skinney you were...wow you were a hottie..

Me: Look at my Ass I'm hugh!!!!

Me: look at all the toys all over the house...

Me: I have forgotten all of these things wow

I'm telling you we laugh at ourselves...

Till I thought we would wet our pants.!!

We were watching a video of our middle son when he was about 3 they were some of the sweetest moments

you know the kind that make your heart fluttered...The room got quite and I look over at my husband he had tears in his eyes.. I said are you crying too!!

I was crying....also

I said Daddy<we call each other momma and daddy ..it started when the kids were babies to get them used to hearing it and just never stop>

anyway I said I can't believe how rich our life is in memories and love...

Looking back on this you don't realize when your in the moment...

It just makes your heart so happy your have to cry...

He said quitely Yes momma sure does...

Great news

I picked up the old camera and said honey are you sure you can't get this to work....

I turned it on and the videos were showing..

I said"look it is working"

My husband jumped up and said really...

This big relief came on his face....

I said were you worried...

He said worried Hell I teared up last night thinking our memories would be lost..

I said agghh honey that is the sweetest thing you could said...

Makes me love you so much more...

He just looked at me funny..... like you know.... that look like well heck I made points and wasn't even trying :-)

reason number 1001 why I dont sky dive

DELAND, Fla. (April 24) - A man who was skydiving in central Florida struck the wing of a plane as he descended over an airport, losing both his legs in the accident. The man later died, officials said.

Holy crap!!! poor guy....Call me chicken I don't care no sky diving for me....

oh my gosh

Well HEll..... I didnt see that coming...Did you see the last scene with the good looking male black DR and female Asian Dr. tearing each others scrubs off....wow baby this is getting good ..I can't remember there names....on the show

Donna

Grey anatomy

I like this new show greys anatomy....I like it for the story line...not because its true to life because it not...

I see mistakes...they forget to use gloves on things I have caught them....I laugh...and I don't think the shows is very respect in the  way they talk about nurses....

nurses are the backbone and work horses of the hospital...

Drs well they are not the end all be all like people think...

Yes DR's are important but the truth be know nurses play a even greater part.in many ways.. Its team work... they are equally important..nurses need DRS and DRs need nurses..One cannot function without the other..

There are good and bad nurses and good and bad DRs...When you work in a hospital it becomes very clear of that...IT is scarey...

Ok anyway.....

Hubby tells me he tried to view the old video tapes and nothing shows up.  I was pissed I said don't tell me that...

Those are memories we could never get back...I say....figure it out you must be doing something wrong....

He said well I tryed everything...I said obviously not because its isnt working yet for you...<yeah I was pissey not at him just at the situation that may be and he knew this>

I was so mad not really at him just mad because the thought of all the videos not working....saddens me...

One of my sons birth is on those video tapes plus many other stuff

Just the thought that they may be screwed up makes my stomach cramp up...So we will see....

Donna

videos and dvd

Hubby bought a DVD recorder...He is now taking all video from our 8 mm camera and old camerma from ages ago and putting it all on dvd...Pretty neat....

Watching yourself on video from years ago ..interesting

Seeing how big you butt actually is on video...appalling

watching your husband Rewind the part over and over and over that he accidentally farting while he was filming.....hilarious....

Listening the the farting part while fast forwarding and everbody talks like chipmucks and farts like chipmucks... rolling on the floor will let you know when I crawl off the floor from laughing lol lol

QUOTE

"If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy.
If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem.
But I arise in the morning torn between a desire to change the world
and a desire to enjoy the world.
This makes it hard to plan the day."

E.B. White

MY PERSONALITY TYPE INFJ

The Counselor Idealists are abstract in thought and speech, cooperative in reaching their goals, and directive and introverted in their interpersonal roles. Counselors focus on human potentials, think in terms of ethical values, and come easily to decisions. The small number of this type (little more than 2 percent) is regrettable, since Counselors have an unusually strong desire to contribute to the welfare of others and genuinely enjoy helping their companions. Although Counsleors tend to be private, sensitive people, and are not generally visible leaders, they nevertheless work quite intensely with those close to them, quietly exerting their influence behind the scenes with their families, friends, and colleagues. This type has great depth of personality; they are themselves complicated, and can understand and deal with complex issues and people.

Counselors can be hard to get to know. They have an unusually rich inner life, but they are reserved and tend not to share their reactions except with those they trust. With their loved ones, certainly, Counselors are not reluctant to express their feelings, their face lighting up with the positive emotions, but darkening like a thunderhead with the negative. Indeed, because of their strong ability to take into themselves the feelings of others, Counselors can be hurt rather easily by those around them, which, perhaps, is one reason why they tend to be private people, mutely withdrawing from human contact. At the same time, friends who have known a Counselor for years may find sides emerging which come as a surprise. Not that they are inconsistent; Counselors value their integrity a great deal, but they have intricately woven, mysterious personalities which sometimes puzzle even them.

Counselors have strong empathic abilities and can become aware of another's emotions or intentions -- good or evil -- even before that person is conscious of them. This "mind-reading" can take the form of feeling the hidden distress or illnesses of others to an extent which is difficult for other types to comprehend. Even Counselors can seldom tell how they came to penetrate others' feelings so keenly. Furthermore, the Counselor is most likely of all the types to demonstrate an ability to understand psychic phenomena and to have visions of human events, past, present, or future. What is known as ESP may well be exceptional intuitive ability-in both its forms, projection and introjection. Such supernormal intuition is found frequently in the Counselor, and can extend to people, things, and often events, taking the form of visions, episodes of foreknowledge, premonitions, auditory and visual images of things to come, as well as uncanny communications with certain individuals at a distance.

aol watch out I just might leave

Donna

ok smarty pants figure this one out

Hw many people do you see..??.watch closely...

story rule number 1

ok Rule number 1...

If you want to talk to Donna and have her actually listen to you don't talk if the TV or computer is in front of her face...She is ADD and can't keep her attention on you....

My husband knows this .....but what does he do he comes in the bedroom and starts telling me the story about were he was for the last hour which by the way was only going to be a 15 minute trip...

My husband cannot I repeat cannot just tell the story....he go on and on and on and never gets to the point!!

well my brian goes opps there he goes again and it swtiches off and my eyes float to the tv...

I say to myself.....Self stop this and listen to your husband

so he is talking dvd blah blah..dvr.recorder blah balh .high defention...costs....blah blah

and I hear blah blah blah like the teacher on Charlie Brown..

So something on 2020 catches my eye and he sees I'm not paying attetion he say your not paying attention are you???... I blush and say nope I'm sorry..you know how you have to break the connection with the TV with my brain..

He gets up and says you havent listen to any of this have you ...I said no..I 'm sorry

So he huffs off and says fine I'm going to cancel the dish TV.....< he is kidding but is also trying to say you hurt my feelings .....after you live with someone 11 years you know what they really mean>

I jump up and say oh baby I'm sorry I turned off the tv tell me the story I want to hear it please please...<I'm overacting the please as I say it>

I'm chasing him around and he is acting all huffy....He is kidding sort of...I feel badly because I hurt his feelings..

So I'm trying to smooch up to him....He says nope not working I said ok I'm sorry but you know you decide what you want my opioion doesnt really ever count..when it comes to electronics....

So I start to tell him something about talking to my sister and he say nope not listening to your story and laughs......Little turd got me back..I deserved it

So I guess I better so snuggle and kiss up  lol

Donna

I got this over a jules journal

http://journals.aol.com/joolsinwa/randommusingsofmymind/entries/

I thought will I never want chocolate so it wont work for me but it did so it made a liar out me ha!! try it kind of fun..I'm sure its some math whiz thing which counts me out not really a good math person

ThIS WAS FROM AN EMAIL, IT WORKS AND IT'S FUN! my ONLY THOUGHT IS WHO THINKS UP THIS STUFF????

First, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate (more than once but LESS THAN 10).
2.  Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold).

3.  Add 5.
4.  Multiply it by 50 - I'll wait while you get the calculator.
5. If you have already had your birthday this year, add 1755.  If you haven't, add 1754.
6. Now subtract the four-digit year that you were born.
7.  You should have a three-digit number.
8.  The first digit of this was your original number (how many times you want to have chocolate each week).
9.  The next two numbers are YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)
10.  THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2005) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS.

Cute I chuckled

Do you realize that the only time in our lives when we like to get old is when we're kids? If you're less than 10 years old, you're so excited about aging that you think in fractions.   "How old are you?" "I'm four and a half!" You're never thirty-six and a half. You're four and a half, going on five!   That's the key.   You get into your teens, now they can't hold you back. You jump to the next number, or even a few ahead.   "How old are you?" "I'm gonna be 16!" You could be 13, but hey, you're gonna be 16! And then the greatest day of your life........you become 21. Even the words sound like a ceremony.........YOU BECOME 21 YESSSS !!!   But then you turn 30. Oooohh, what happened there? Makes you sound like bad milk. He TURNED; we had to throw him out. There's no fun now, you're Just a sour-dumpling. What's wrong? What's changed?   You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you're PUSHING 40.   Whoa! Put on the brakes, it's all slipping away. Before you know it, you REACH 50 . . . and your dreams are gone.   But wait!!! You MAKE it to 60. You didn't think you would!   So you BECOME 21, TURN 30, PUSH 40, REACH 50 and MAKE it to 60.   You've built up so much speed that you HIT 70! After that it's a day-by-day thing; you HIT Wednesday!   You get into your 80s and every day is a complete cycle; you HIT lunch; you TURN 4:30; you REACH bedtime.   And it doesn't end there. Into the 90s, you start going backwards; "I Was JUST 92."   Then a strange thing happens. If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again. "I'm 100 and a half!"   May you all make it to a healthy 100 and a half!!
HOW TO STAY YOUNG 1.Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay "them"   2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.   3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle " An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.   4. Enjoy the simple things.   5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.   6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.   7. Surround yourself with what you love, Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.   8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.   9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.   10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.   AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, But by the moments that take our breath away.

5 things I learned

1.Flylady.com will not help me if I delete the e-mail without reading it

2.If you need your children just get on the phone or the toliet..I never get peace there...

3.Why do I have to Pass Gas when I get into a elevator full of people.. I didnt have gas before I walked into the crowded elevator

4.The longest space is.......the space from the sink to the dishwasher..my family can never put the dishes 2 feet down into the dishwasher

5.Never say 5 things you learned because you get to number 4 and can't think of another thing... ug!!

Donna

Can you do this???

Look at the chart below and say the COLOR not the word

Yellow  Black Purple orange Blue Green

Left-Right conflict

your brain tries to say the color but your left brain insists on reading the word..

My nephew show me this...I got it off a website called Http://www.ebaumsworld.com

I clicked on the optical illusions icon...I didn't look at the whole site so I don't know if there is unappropiate stuff just a FYI...I never know with some of these sites so I'm just covering my butt :-)

This chart was hard for me

answers to the questions

1. Pick one person ( dead, alive, fictional) to have dinner with.  Who are they and why did you pick them?

This is a hard question for me so here you have it...I would pick my friend CECYshe has been dead for two years...she died at age 32 of breast cancer and left three children behind..I picked her because I would want to tell her how much I miss her.I would wnat to tell her that watching her die with such diginity and such belife in God truly amazed and touched me.......I would want to know what it feels like to die..was is scarey ...did it hurt.... I would want to know if she can see me or feels my sadness when I think of her...I would also want to to put in a good word for me with the big boss lol....she would laugh.......I miss you so much CECY<SIGH>

2. Is there someone in  who was in your  life, that is not in your life now, that you would like to thank for teaching you a valuable lesson?  if yes, what was the lesson?

my husband for showing me what real unconditional love is....Yeah I know sounds corny..He loved me at 250lbs and he loves me now....he never cared and never I repeat never put me down for being heavy.....He believes in me and accepts me...I'm not the easiest person to live with shhhhh!! dont tell him I said that LOL

3.  If you thought a friend was making a huge mistake.  If you tell them , it will deeply hurt them...do you tell them? yes I would tell them but I would but it in a way that would let them know that I love them and wanted them to know my feelings...I wouldnt put them down for what they were doing...I would just want them to look at the whole picture and get all the info before they make the desicsion.

4. You have a life long dream, and things are falling into place to fulfill that dream.  YOur husband tells you not to do it...what do you  do?

I would ask him to tell me why he thought I should not do It...I would feel that maybe he could see something that I couldnt...We sometimes get caught up in the emotion of a situation and can't see pass  our own emotions...After taking his comments into consideration... I would do what I felt right...If his feeling were totally off base I would do what I wanted if there were merit in what he was saying then I would not do what I wanted...<I would probably pout a little but I would get over it lol>

5.  You have the time, money and power to grant one wish, how would you decide who to give it to?

Ok I want it noted that I hate these type of questions lol  My first thought would be to grant myself the wish...ya know..Grant that I would make an endless supplie of wishes so everyone I wanted could be given a wish....

thats probably not what she meant to I will answer like this...hummm one wish huh

I would wish that there would be no more child abuse ever.......I hate it when I see people hurt innocent children....Parents hurt them with actions, words etc.....

ok there you have it hope I didnt put you to sleep lol

want to cheese with that whine??

My arm feels like someone beat it with a baseball bat..that will teach me to kiss the cement sidewalk..Watch were your going you big dummy...

So I drank a beer..I hardly ever drink..thought it might help

nope...What a big baby I am...

Whine Whine Whine.

Watched american idol tonight....the 70's ....I do remember them considering I graduated when anwar was born 1979..<dont do the math>

I thought I would bust a move and show the kids my 70's dancing...

cameron walked away shaking his head..

I said whats up cameron you dont like my dance moves..

He said mom thats just wrong your embarassing...

oh well...I thought I was just groovy baby!!!

where are the apples

Husband walks into the kitchen and asks

Where are the apples??

Me: I put them in the refrigerator

Hubby: Why did you do that?

Me: I read that apples give off a gas that makes them get ripe and if you put them in the frig it slows down the process of putting off the gas

Hubby: You think if you put me in the Frig It will stop me from putting off GAS<He Laughs>

Me: NO!!It would probably blow up the Frig

Men...ugh!!!

I still love him though lol

opsy daisey

So last night I was walking around the neighborhood trying to keep in shape...

I was walking on the sidewalk when a 10 speed bike went by in the street...I turned to look

ok this was not a good move because the sidewalk had a uneven place in it and the toe of my tennis shoe caught it

Yep you guessed it I fell...not a quick fall..

It was like I fell forever...lol

First I fell straight onto my knees and then onto my hands..I close my eyes and when I opened them I was on my back on the grass beside the sidewalk..<not sure how that happened lol>

I layed there thinking Hell I hope nobody saw me...

I got up my knees were hurting my hands were scraped up and I was limping..

An older man across the street saw me and yelled hey are you ok..I said yeah ...

He yelled louder are you sure your ok??

I sad yes thank you but tomarrow I will probably feel it...

Ok that was a understatement...my knees have brusies the size of silver dollars and hurt like crap..my palms are still scraped a little.

What is really strange is my left arm is sore like someone has frogged my arm about 100 times and the muscles around my left ribs are sore....

I guess the left arm took the brunt of my weight..

I thought about it today ...you know as a kid to fall like that was no big deal..

Wow has time changed my body LOL

2 appointment

I had my follow up appointment today...There was a 4 semi wreck on highway 75 so I spent an hour sitting on the interstate because they had closed it down....

Needless to say I was almost 45 minutes late to my appointment..

When I drove up to the eye doctors they was only one car in the parking lot and I thought damn noone is here..

I went in and funny thing was that the DR was also caught in the traffic jam so he was an hour late to the office...lol

They took me back and had me read a chart..I read 20/20..

They took out what they call the bandage contacts which are basically soft contacts with no prescription in them...

told me I needed some good sunglasses...If I bought them there they would give me 20% off but that I could buy them anywhere I wanted to....

The DR that looked at my eyes must of been the associate Dr and boy was he good looking lol

I tryed on some sunglasses for fun but didnt buy any...It's weird wearing regular sunglases..

About 3 oclock my eyes felt tired so I layed down to rest them..

As I layed there I thought what do blind people do??? ...they can't see so there is no tv watching or looking at the sun,birds...computer...

I just thought how lucky and blessed I was to have sight....

Anyway the good looking DR said each week my sight would get more and more crisper..

So I have a follow up appointment next week..

I want to thank each and everyone of you that read my journal and comment...You guys really make my day...I want to tell you that you are special to me...I think of you guys often during the day...

It makes me smile when I get a comment because I know I'm not alone you guys are with me...thank you for all you do....I love you being a part of my world

I survived

I have one word for this wavefront lasik lazor surgery..

WOW!!!!!

It hasn't soak in that I don't need my glasses yet...I have worn glasses since the 4th grade and if you do the math that is 35 years....

I took a nap today like they suggested and when I woke up the first thing I did was reach for my glasses and couldnt find them ..I thought crap where did I put my glasses and I realized oh yeah I don't need them..

The surgery wasnt hard at all..I was a little scared but I felt nothing no pain during the procedure which took a whole 10 minutes...It has been 12 hours since and still no pain at all..My eyes felt tired this morning right after...like when you have been up all night and need sleep...but that went away..

Tomarrow I go back and he removes the contacts he put over my eye to protect it and I don't have to wear the goggles anymore...both goggles and contacts were just to aid in helaing and protect me from inadverdantly touching or rubbing my eyes...

They say your vision gets sharper each week and right now my vision is pretty dang sharp...

right now I'am totally impressed and am anxiously waiting for the weeks to pass to see how things go..

I apprecitate all the prayers and good wishes....

Thank you all my journal on line friends you guys rock!!!

Good to go and the talk!!!

ok I'm good to go with my eye surgery..so friday at 7:40 in the AM.....I'm nervous....

_______________________________________

Ok I'm not sure if its something in the air but my 9 year old is starting to ask some pretty intense questions...I don't remember my 23 year old asking these questions quite so young......but who knows I have slept since then.....so here you have it

I pick the kids up from school and were off to group play therapy for cameron as were driving down the street my 9 year old starts this conversation

Cameron: Mom.......Why are college girls getting babies so young?

ME: WHAT???? Were did this come from

Cameron: I heard it on the news you were watching this morning

Note to self..the kid to smart for his own good lol

<Its now 3:15 pm and I guess he has been mulling this around in his brain all day>

I'm driving down the road thinking oh my gosh we can't have the sex talk now......not while I am driving I'm not ready for this....... I think I will play dumb to see just what he knows.

Me: How do YOU think Girls are getting the babies?

Cameron: You know <he pauses and them spells quitely> S-E-X

Oh my gosh this is not going in the direction that I thought as I drove down the street..He does knows so ......ok I will just handle this by honesty...It worked with the oldest son but he was a little older....

Me: Well to not have babies they needed to use protection.....

Cameron: What is Protection????

Me: Well< Gulp>Girls can use birth control pills that keeps them from having babies

Cameron: DO boys have birth control???

I'm thinking holy shit...I dont want to go into this too much.....what to do ......what to do

Me: yes men use condoms

Cameron:  What is a condom???

Me: IT's something that men wear that protects them

Cameron: Where do they wear it??

AAGGGHH I feel the gray hairs popping out of my head...ping ping

Me: They wear  it on there winkies<this is what cameron calls his penis>

Cameron:  Oh Ok...< he says matter of fact like its no big deal>

So I throw this part in...

Me: But men and woman should not have sex unless they are married ... It's something you share with someone you love a lot and wont to spend the rest of your life with

Cameron:Like you and daddy...You love each other alot

Me: yes we do....

Cameron: I'm hungry can we stop and get something to eat??

Yep he went on to another subject like we just discussed the weather or something....

This does not get any easier with each child...

The rest of the night I stressed and thought oh no did I tell him too much...Did I say it wrong..Have I scared my child for life lol

I not ready for my children to be big yet....

I need a XANAX!!!

Eye Doctor

So I have the last Eye Dr appt to see if my cornea thickeness is ok to have the wavefront lasik...

I'm still kind of undecisive about it...I plan on talking to the Dr today...To tell him my fears and concerns...

Of course if the corneas are too thin they that will be that...

Will let you know later today the results.....

Monday, April 11, 2005

Oh my aching belly

I was in some serious stomach pain for an hour...I ate too fast and what I ate I didnt chew well..combine that with a very small gastric bipass stomach and you get severe pain..

All I could do it wait for the food to pass...It's feels like swallowing a whole watermelon imagine that and you have the pain. I felt..lol

The Big TV came today...Hope the hubby likes it I'm sure we will be paying for it for several years...HA!

Zach,Cameron and I were sitting at the table today coloring fuzzy posters...We were all concentrating coloring and all of a sudden cameron started talking to me and here was the conversation.

Cameron: Momma why did you and Landons dad divorce??<Landon is my oldest son who is 23 for those who dont know>

<Yes this caught me off guard..cameron is my deep thinking child....I sat there a minute thinking...I wasnt sure how to answer it..I wanted to be honest but I also wanted to keep it simple so he could understand.>

Me: Well.....We just shouldn't of gotten married...zach could sense I was struggling with an answer so he piped in and said

Zach: It's ok momma..We still love you

Cameron: yeah momma married daddy because she loved him and wanted to have us...

Me: that's right because my life would be so empty without my special boys to love...

Zach: Were special..Right momma?

Me: So special I could just eat you up..

Zach: But not really eat us right momma?

Me:LOL

cameron:oh momma your so silly..

Me: yep thats me silly....

Zach: momma your special to me too I'm glad you married daddy.

Me: Me too..

Cameron: I'm glad you married daddy too except when he makes me mad..<makes a face>

Me:LOL..

Whew glad that conversation is over HA!

The Interview

Kelly over at Green olives and pickle juice started this interview thing so I ask her to ask me 5 questions..Here they are

http://journals.aol.com/happysunshien/GreenOlivesPickleJuice/

Donna's Interview

1.  What would you do if anything to improve the relationship between you and your oldest son?

I would love to have counseling with just me and him..Get all the crap out and work on it...a lot of it he doesn't understand because he is young as we age things become more clear as to why parents do what they do...our parents are not really has we see them as children....  all god like but simply humans that are vunerable and mess up like everybody else..I think if we could sit down with a 3rd party and he could talk about stuff that has been stored inside of him concerning his dad and I..He might feel better..He was only a year old when his dad and I divorced...I have told Landon that he is smarter than I was at his age because he hasnt brought a child into the world while he is trying to figure his life out..I try to tell him when he makes a mistake that he is just growing up and things  happen...I tell him that his momma was his age once and made some of the same mistakes its just that I had a child to take care of also..

2. How different is it raising a "second family" after having a grown son?  Is it harder?  Easier? What would you do differently?

Well actually its easier I think in some ways and harder also..Some days I sit and think by the time I get the last two boys raised I will have raised kids for 40 years or so...I get more scared about the world and them living in it..I also know how fast they grow up you blink and they are grown.....That's when you really realize how much you miss of there younger days....

AS for me

I'm a much better mother..more patient...kinder....loving and I have

more of a overall general appreciation of what being a mother really is....I really devote myself to them..I dont party or go out or spend much time with anyone except my family.... I do have my me time on ocassion but overall my time is devoted to them..Its a big job teaching them how to grow to be production adults..compassionate..caring..

I have learn big time that children are great at watching our actions

and if our words and actions don't match they pick up on it...

they model what they lived with...

3.  How hard has it been for you to be the stay at home mom instead of the sole breadwinner single mom?

Honestly its not the staying home part that bothers me its the vuneralbility of depending on someone to provide for me...You see my mom always ingrained in me don't trust men they will leave you..

Now I realize being older that it was a time after her and dad had divorce and she was scared and maybe she thought she was helping me I dont know...I just remember her falling apart because her whole life had been my dad..I watched her cry it was hard..I thought I never wont to be in her posistion...I dont blame my parents for divorcing...I guess I feel why would someone want to love me all my life and never leave...I'm sure iyala on starting over would pick me apart on this one HA!!I have always been very independant and didnt like answering to anyone also....

4.Is there anything you would change about your relationship with your "Addams family" inlaws?  Besides moving them across the country?

I wish I could be closer to them but I can't it's not safe emotionally...I'm not the only one who feels this way alot of the family feels this way with randys mom...I truly thinks its a imbalance in hormones or depression..If she would take medication I think we would see a different person....Honestly its a lost cause ...we have been together 10 years and nothing has change except that its worse....There is definetly mental illness in that family...very sad

5.  Anything you would change about your relationship iwth Landon's father?

Hum not really..We have a ok realtionship..We we only married for a year...And we felt forced to get marry..I dont think we ever really loved each other as husband and wife...I have more of a problem with his wife than him....When its just me and him we get along fine but when his wife gets in the picture things change...His wife is very controling and I think after being married to her for 20 years he has just decided to accept it and not fight it....

Now that my son is grown it has gotten much better in fact I havent talk to my x in over a year and before that maybe once a year..Its a big change than from seeing him every other weekend..

So there you have it..Hope I didnt bore you lol

4. You win a special lottery but you aren't allowed to keep any of themoney.  Instead, it must go to a single charitableorganization.  Which would you choose and why?

Expectations

A few hours after my son and his girlfriend left my house I was reading this book I have had for a while called Fearless living by Rhonda Britton.

Some of you may know her from starting over tv program so this last

paragraph went like this..............................

When was the last time you blamed someone for something?  Did you think you had the 'right"to blame? How did it feel justified? Did others agree with you? If you're like most people, several instances will come to mind. Perhaps your spouse did something that upset you. Maybe your best friend let you down. Maybe you are unsure if you blame. A good indication is if you use "If only..." in your vocabulary. But one thinking is certain: In order to blame someone, you must have had an expectation that the person"should" have done something differently. Unfortunately, expectations will always leave you feeling out of control and on your Wheel of Fear. That's a guaranteed.

When you assume others can read you mind and know what you need, you are setting them up for the future blame. In truth, no one else is responsible. You are the only one who is responsible

As I read the last sentence I thought to myself about the visit I had with my son and girlfriend...

I guess I did have expectations.....maybe thats why I felt kind of blah when they left...I felt like a stranger to my son....He was different somewhat

maybe because we argued last month I dont know...

I expected her to try to like me..to talk to me or get to know me.... was I wrong to expect ?? maybe....maybe she is shy or afraid..I never ask her maybe I should of said something...I felt uncomfortable

First impressions are hard...Maybe I scared her who knows what stuff my son has said to her in anger about me...

My First impression is I didnt like her but then I stop and think..that's not really fair.... Maybe she didnt like me but do I really care...I don't know....

I don't really and then I do...He is my son for life and I always wanted a great daughter- n- law since I dont have any girls

Expectations I guess we all have them...

So I expect for now I will feel indifferent.....

just another night

This afternoon I was driving home and got caught in a bad hale storm scared the crap out of me and the kids...They were quite as mice while I was driving...I kept hollaring at the cars to go and move so I could get home...

I thought the windshield was going to break!!

I have gotten hooked on this show called amazing race I have never watched it before 2 weeks ago....I have never saw any of the shows it just never appealed to me but hey I'm enjoying watching the people under stress.

I must say africa is beautiful on that show...

I sent hubby to Lowes to pick up a flower for zach to plant at school...

I swear he was gone an hour and a half..He came home with one tiny flower

Me- you have been gone that long and all you have is a little flower what were you doing?

hubby-silence ignored me

me-AND?

he goes on about how hdtv works which I zoned out while he was talking..

I know I'm bad but my husband mumbles and rambles...

Drives me nuts so I say yes uhuh like I'm paying attention but bad me I'm not listening...

Then he says something about it being delivered well that caught my attention

Me-Hold up what did you say about delivery?

he smiled

Me-So I dont get my new eyes?

hubby-I didn't say that honey

"snicker"was just giving him a hard time...

Well good news my oldest son is speaking to me again...I'm glad because I was getting really down that he wasnt speaking...

I really didnt care that is was mad so long as we talk it out...

He told me he loved me and missed me.

he said he was mad and that I hurt his feelings..

I just listened...

I could tell he had had a few beers by his voice...

He did admit that he was a A**H**** sometimes..I should of recorded that LOL

I just said no matter Landon I will always love you...your my son..my baby...nothing could stop your momma from loving you...

Sigh" Its easier to be a mom when there little

Talked to hubby

I mention the Dr to the hubby when he got home...He didn't comment so I dropped it...I figure I would give it to him in little chunks of info...

If I worked I would of just say hey I'm doing this but when I don't work outside the home I don't feel like I have that luxury.

My husband would never say I couldnt do it..I just feel he is out working hard for our family and its his hard earn money...

He doesn't look at it that way its just my thinking...I just know if I was out working hard I wouldnt want someone racking up debts...

WE took the kids to Taco Bell and while they played in the playground I talked about it somemore..

I'm not sure if I will do it...I just feel heck I dont know..

Thanks for all the kind comments I appreciate all you guys

This is when I wish we made more money "sigh" and then I feel guilty and think I should appreciate all we have...

Donna

Eye DR Appt

Went to the eye Dr I was there 2 hours...I do say they really checked your eyeballs out..

They said my eyes were in great shape and my vision hadn't change in 3 years. I  was shocked

it hadnt changed....

They say I qualify for the surgery if I pass the next test...My corneas are on the thin side so if the next reading says too thin then it's a no go.

It really doesn't matter to me if they say I can't get it...I like my glasses but I want to see better

Part of me  hestitates because its going to cost 3400.00 for the surgery...

I'm just not sure I want to go into that much debt right now..

If I choose to have the surgery then I would probably have to work and I really want to be home for the kids....

I will talk to hubby tonight...

When I think about 3400.00 dollars I think about how I could get wood floors for that or pay off another debt.

Or I think how many years will I have to pay for it...kind of makes me nauseaus..

I dont like being in debt anymore than I have to scares me...

I think its from living single with a child for so long before I married the hubby...

It was always just my income alone and it was very hard...There were days of well do I pay electric bill or do we eat...very frustrating...

I guess I have never forget how much I hated living like that and fear keeps me from living that way again....

I did go ahead and make an Appt for the surgery April 15 just to keep a spot..

So there you have it.
