joke

A woman in her late 40's went to a plastic surgeon for a face lift.

The doctor told her of a new procedure called "The Knob." This small knob is implanted on the back of a woman's head and can be turned to tighten up the skin to produce the effect of a brand new facelift forever.

Of course, the woman wanted "The Knob."

Fifteen years later the woman went back to the surgeon for a consultation.

"All these years everything had been working just fine. I've had to turn the knob on lots of occasions and I've loved the results. But now I've developed two annoying problems. First of all, I've got these terrible bags under my eyes and the knob won't get rid of them."

The doctor looked at her and said, "Those aren't bags, those are your breasts."

Then she replied, "Well, I guess that explains the goatee!"

Meaning of Flag Draped Coffin

This was read at our meeting I go to that moms of all ages meet and fellowship

Thought I would share

Meaning of Flag Draped Coffin

Here is how to understand the flag that lay upon it and is surrendered to so many widows and widowers.

Do you know that at military funerals, the 21-gun salute stands for the sum of the numbers in the year 1776?

Have you ever noticed the honor guard pays meticulous attention to correctly folding the United States of America Flag 13 times? You probably thought it was to symbolize the original 13 colonies, but we learn something new every day!

1. The 1st fold of the flag is a symbol of life.

2. The 2nd fold is a symbol of the belief in eternal life.

3. The 3rd fold is made in honor and remembrance of the veterans departing the ranks who gave a portion of their lives for the defense of the country to attain peace throughout the world.

4. The 4th fold represents the weaker nature, for as American citizens trusting in God, it is to Him we turn in times of peace as well as in time of war for His divine guidance.

5. The 5th fold is a tribute to the country, for in the words of Stephen Decatur, "Our Country, in dealing with other countries, may she always be right; but it is still our country, right or wrong."

6. The 6th fold is for where people's hearts lie. It is with their heart that they pledge allegiance to the flag of the United! States of America and the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.

7. The 7th fold is a tribute to its Armed Forces, for it is through the Armed Forces that they protect their country and their flag against all her enemies, whether they are found within or without the boundaries of their republic.

8. The 8th fold is a tribute to the one who entered into the valley of the shadow of death, that we might see the light of day.

9. The 9th fold is a tribute to womanhood, and Mothers. For it has been through their faith, their love, loyalty and devotion that the character of the men and women who have made this country great has been molded.

10. The 10th fold is a tribute to the father, for he, too, has given his sons and daughters for the defense of their country since they were first born.

11. The 11th fold represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon and glorifies in the Hebrews eyes, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

12. The 12th fold represents an emblem of eternity and glorifies, in the Christians eyes, God the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit.

13. The 13th fold, or when the flag is completely folded, the stars are uppermost reminding them of their nation’s motto, "In God We Trust."

After the flag is completely folded and tucked in, it takes on the appearance of a cocked hat, ever reminding us of the soldiers who served under General George Washington, and the Sailors and Marines who served under Captain John Paul Jones, who were followed by their comrades and shipmates in the Armed Forces of the United States, preserving for them the rights, privileges and freedoms they enjoy today.

There are some traditions and ways of doing things that have deep meaning. In the future, you'll see flags folded and now you will know why.

Share this with the children you love and all others who love what is referred to, the symbol of "Liberty and Freedom."

A parent's story

It was around 1986. I had decided I would move to Fort Worth for a sales job with the phone company. ..I moved all by myself found a apartment...It was a terrible job I hated it. I was away from friends and family. I was always independent and stubborn which was not always a good thing

The job was so bad and stressful that...

I used to dream I was selling call waiting and no one would order it..I would wake up in a sweat because my job depended on sales...I would be gasping for air and realize it was a dream...well sort of...The job was very hard...needless to say I said stress out all the time.

My oldest son Landon <picture above>was about 5 years old.. He loved to play at the play ground at our apartment...

One day he walked in crying... I said what is wrong baby...He said a rock fell in my ear..I laughed and said honey a rock would be too big to be in your ear..

He said momma really it did...So I looked in his ear and of course nothing was in there and I gave him a hug and shooed him away..

Every now and then he would complain I would look nothing.. I thought that maybe I wasn't giving him enough attention or something since I had been stressed out...

About a month later guess what fell out of his ear

Your right a tiny rock like they have on the playgrounds..

He said see momma you didn't believe me... I said I'm sorry baby how in the heck did the rock fall just right to hit your ear...

he said he was laying on the ground and a girl walk over him at the playground and a rock landed just right...

I felt badly because I never could see anything...

Nothing was damaged...I felt like a heel though

BAD DOG!!!

She knows it to When I walked into the house she ran into her cage like she was in there all along..like I'm not going to know she got out HA!

This hallway had nothing on the floor it was clear of anything. Everything you see she found and pulled out...

Our sheltie never does stuff like this and never has...

The other animals look at her like she is a big dummie lol
