This is a website of a guy who dropped wallets around town and video tape peoplewhen they found them to see if they would turn in the wallets or steal them
I thought it was interesting.
Would you steal it or turn it in with everything in tact.....
Me I would turn it in....I would want someone to do the same for me...

becky
becky sent me here. I just did an entry in my journal about a guy who brought my daughters purse back with everything in tack in cluding cash from her just cashed paycheck after she left it inthe walmart pakring lot!!!!! on a friday after noon at rush hour
I have returned wallets...and had my purse returned to me TWICE! Both times with all the stuff intact. People are basically good I think.
Donna I would turn it in ~ it would be stealing to keep it and whoever lost it may need that money very much ~ My Daughter lost her purse and the man who found it took it round to her house and would not accept a reward ~ there are some very honest people about and I would like to think I am an honest person ~ ALLY
I can't watch video. :o( But if I found a wallet I'd turn it in or try to contact the owner, whatever I could to get it back to the person. Besides the $$ there is almost always something that is sentimental in a wallet. And it's a big hassle getting new cards and things. No one needs that greif. - Barbara
I'm with you.
I lost my cell phone (again) at the local Target store. I knew where I left it. When I went back to get it, it was gone. I assumed it was lost forever...but lucky for me, someone actually turned it in to the customer service counter! I was happily surprised! I know it is not the same as a wallet, but how often do lost phones get turned in??? J
