Oh, it is beautiful (flat:::grin:::but lovely....)I can just see some horses grazing there, and your beautiful boys on their backs...
When we went out West to COlorado this year we were hypnotized by the plains in Kansas...used to the KEntucky mountains, they seemed to go on forever. We are used to only being able to see to the next ridge.
I always wanted 10 acres (or 20) with the house smack dab in the middle on an acre, a nice pasture and a good stand of trees all the way around the boundary. - Barbara
I too, sometimes think i want to move back to the country....if i ever do...i would love to have a log cabin built...with a wraparound porch... I am really dreaming...hehe
I can tell you from experience 10 acres in the country is wonderful. Yes you have to drive a little way to any store but it is so worth it. We raised our three sons on the ten acres we own and the nearest quicky store was five miles with town being 8 miles. That never ever bothered us because it was wonderful to see the boys run and play and just be boys. They had horses and we raised every kind of animal there ever was plus grew gardens. They are all grown now and two of our sons also live out in the country with their children with the oldest usually doing the same although his choices are not quite as free as he is military and has to change locations ever now and then. They do however pass up subdivisions unless they can purchase a home bordering open land so they can keep their horses close by. I would recommend it to everyone.
