Life in texas

Today was a very dreary, rainy and a cold day deep in the heart of Texas.

Only in Texas will you see people wearing flipflops and shorts when its 30 degrees outside.  They have a saying in texas if you dont' like the weather just wait 24 hours it will change.  I t is true it can be 30 degrees one day and 80 degrees the next.  Crazy Crazy!!!

WE took the kids to see the incredibles last night...I have to say I really enjoyed the movie.  At first it was slow but the second half was funny.  There was cute funny stuff for the kids and deeper meaning for us adults.<As pixar is good at this>  I thought it was ironic that the mom was called elasta girl.  Think about it aren't all moms stretched out thinly with all we do.

WE have dial up <groan> so my face is starting to look like this little one above trying to read  all the journals I have signed up on my alert for .  I'm getting more alerts than I can keep up with.  It's hard to choose I want to read so many....I love reading all of you guys entries.  This dial up has got to go. We don't  have DSL avalible and we really don't have the extra cash to pay 55.00 for cable modem.

SO.....I wait....with anticipation for the day we get DSL in our neigborhood. Sometimes I go to the library and use there computer ...dang they are fast...before you release the mouse button your page is up on the screen.

Well must go the children are out of bed once again.... there is another problem to tend to...always is when they don't wont to stay in bed.

I here your pain with the dial up, because I am sitting here with it too!  AND, my street is wired for DSL AND cable, but yet, I can't afford the $50 for the cable or the $39 for the DSL.  Sigh!  Glad you enjoyed the "Incredibles".  I thought it was okay, but I did wish the same thing as you, I wanted to be elastagirl too!!  Imagine all we could get done with arms that stretched that far!!! :)
Hugs and love, Lisa

Yes, I totally understand "elasta girl".  That's a perfect way to describe a mom.:)
We hooked up with dsl around 8 months ago.  It's wonderful.  Hopefully it'll come through your way soon.  Dail up always made me cranky.

Hi: I too live in Texas and always have. I am always tempted to buy something cute for winter and then never get to wear it. But I guess I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Hope to read more of your journal. Paula

Hey there,

You think people wearing flip flops in 30 degrees is bad, you ain't seen Colorado. Here, teenage guys especially will wear flip flops when there is snow outside. I know, I go to school and the snow is a foot high and some guys will be walking around in their flip flops. There feet are red and frozen cold, but they think it's cool or something. And they never wear shorts with flip flops, only jeans. Weird. Bye.
