I have a new lover and his name is DVR..
We are in love...everyday and evening we run away for a quickie..
Who is DVR...It is my new dish network with DVR I don't really know what it stands for but it works like tivo..
I love it...I now watch TV and fast forward through commericals..
I watch when I want..can pause to pee..can pause for just about anything..
I've got to where I won't watch my shows when they come on..I just dvr them and watch them later because no commericals and an hour show only takes about 30 minutes to watch...
Makes me realize how much of our time is wasted on Damn commericals...
The more I get used to this contraption the more I love it..
You can even pause live TV...
This is the coolest thing ever..It gives me my life back I'm in control....
I watch my shows on my time..
Best part is that it costs less than cable..
Ya hoo....who knew???

I watched the show Riding the Bus with my Sister...I didnt know what to expect..I liked it I didnt want it to end..
I wanted to see how the rest of there life went...I thought Rosie played a good part..
Was it me or did Annie Mcdowell<I think that is her name> look pregant in a few parts of the film...

You are so lucky! I have a tendancy to "channel surf" during the commercials, then I forget where I was and end up missing the BEST part of whatever show I was watching...! Have fun with your new friend...JAE
I love my DVR! I forget sometimes still, that I can pause something I'm watching!

I LOVE my DVR. It is great for recording all those shows that come on too late for me to stay up and watch or to record those shows I can't watch because I'm at work. We've actually found ourselves recording shows, just so we can fast forward them through the commercials... lol...

You guys have a hard time with adverts even when we see them with ads they are well short of an hour of even hlaf an hour anyway but then all of my favourite thuings are on the BBC so absolutely no ads at all.

I am with you on this one!! I can get things done in the evening and then stop when I want to and watch what I want...when I want. My hubby and I sit down late at night and watch programs together...we are still getting the hang of fast forwarding through the commercials....we can't believe we forget to sometimes. :)

I saw a little of that "Riding in the Bus" movie last night and I think Rosie did a GREAT job! I never even thought of buying a DVR, but you are definately making me want one now! Just to be able to fast forward commercials makes me want it that much more! Your lover sounds so talented! ;)

I tried to get my cable company's version of DVR but after a week I told them to come and get it as it never worked. Hopefully they will get the bugs fixed.
