I watched a show recently where single women and single men went back to the days of corsets and love sonnets (complete with chaperones naturally).  I think that was on PBS too.  It was cool watching the traditions that they had then, especially while courting.  I was addicted!

I loved this show. PBS really has some cool things. I liked the Farmers wife too-

We watched that!  A local homeschooling family was in the final five families, but bowed out because they would not let them have a gun. She was adamant that in grizzly country they needed a gun.  After watching it she said that they were too old (in their fifties) and would not have had the physical stamina...

We've had similar things over here, very interesting!  Things were so tough without all the conveniences we have now, but I always find myself wishing that things were simpler like they used to be.
